TEAM FURY BASKETBALL, VOLLEYBALL & IRONMAN is a competitive, /non-profit program for girls, boys and adults at all levels. The future for the Fury looks bright and exciting for the upcoming season. We are looking to add at least 3 more states to the program and an increase of participants of almost 75%!! The response has been very positive.
This coming year, our teams will be traveling to destinations throughout the the country, our teams will be competeing in 16 states!! It is vitally important that we participate in as many major tournaments offered throughout the country in an effort to gain higher-level competition and exposure for our participants.
Each Fury Program is it's own self sustaining 501 (c) 3 and does not depend on the other for financial support. Each one has it's own accounts and Directors. Team Fury organizes each program to achieve cost savings and continuity throughout each program. The first Fury Program began in 2006 in California, in 2008 the Wisconsin Program was started with Girls Basketball. In 2010, Wisconsin added a Boys Program. 2011 we expanded to Girls Volleyball and have added a North Dakota Boys Basketball Program, a Texas Girls Basketball Program. We also have added athletes in the Ironman to compete as Team Fury. We are looking to add 3 highly comptetive athletes, at various age groups (men & women), to qualify for Worlds in Hawaii. In 2012 we are looking to increase this number. We are also looking to restart a program in California.
The Team Fury is dedicated to making sure each player has a chance to develop the fundamentals and skills necessary to advance their game. We aim to help each player achieve their goal whether it is to make a varsity team, to become a better player or to earn an athletic scholarship. It is also a goal to be a competitive program at the highest levels of competition.
The Fury also believes in offering opportunities to all children regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or financial situation. Each Fury Program is not only a 501 (c) 3 Not-for-Profit Organization, but is also a registered member of AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) and USA Volleyball. The parents of our athletes do not have to bear the full costs of all our expenses, as we depend on fundraising to help offset various costs.
