COACHES

Darren graduated Cal State Northridge with a BS in Business Administration in 1984 and the University of La Verne with a JD in 1988. Since then he has been a practicing attorney and partner with Cohen & Burge, LLP. Darren is in his second year as the Varsity Head Coach at Newbury Park High School, where he reached the second round of CIF playoffs, and was also named Coach Of The Year for the Marmonte League in his first year as a head coach. He was also Varsity Head Coach at La Reina High School from 2006 to 2008, where he captured a league title, and reached the CIF Quarter Finals both years, earning him another Coach of The Year Award. He coached the La Reina Middle School Team from 2003-2006, earning 3 League Championships, a Valley Catholic League Championship, and a record of 54-8. At the Club level Darren has coached for over 10 years, and was Founder of Ventura County Elite girls basketball club. Darren has taken Teams to various High Level Exposure Events throughout the Country. He also served as President of the Newbury Park Basketball Association for 3 years, which included over 600 players and over 70 Teams. Darren lives in Newbury Park, CA with his wife Mona and their two daughters Jenna and Hanna.
